New Adventure of the Week from Ellene

Obviously I forgot that our wonderful blog is the new place to post our "adventures of the week." Oops, but it is here and on bubbs. :)

I was inspired by Lydia's effort of sending us all those lovely adventures of the week two long summers ago!

So this summer has been a summer of trying to stay in shape physically and mentally. I have been doing my
MCAT prep and doing Tae Bo. Tae Bo hurts if you haven't worked out in a while like me. Last week I made the mistake
of doing Tae Bo two days in a row: the 28 min "Flex Express" and the 46 min "Cardio" session. My thighs still hurt
from doing those terrible squats and I did this last Tuesday! lol
MCAT wise, I'm still trying to figure out how to incline problems correctly. I'll get it with some more practice.
Oh and I just saw "Shutter Island" on pay per view---I definitely recommend it. It will keep you on the edge of your seat
the entire time! I also saw Toy Story 2--I'm very excited for Toy Story 3!

Keep posting adventures friends!

P.S. Please pray that the Registrar finds my senior petition--they've seemed to "misplace it." :(

  2. You can edit it if you want; you don't need to post apologetic comments... (says Melanie, and proceeds to do so.) :)

The way you described the Tae Bo makes me chuckle!

You will do great on the MCAT, Ellene. Just keep studying and you will figure it out. :)

Oh, Registrar! That's not right! *sigh* Well, we wouldn't be perfect either... they just better not penalize you in any way for something that wasn't you're fault. Heh, my history teacher misplaced my final once, but he just gave me an A, so it was okay. That teacher was so disorganized! In one of my friend's classes, he misplaced one entire test - as in, everyone's tests! But he was a great teacher, so we still liked him...

  3. Aww thanks Melanie!
How do I edit it once it has already been published? Sorry as you can tell, I'm very new to this blog thing! :)

  4. Wait, he lost everyone's tests!!!? Did he find them or did everyone just get whatever grade they had before the test!? That's a really funny story! :)

  5. There should be an "edit" button near the bottom of the post - hover your mouse over enough things and you should be able to find it - if I remember right, it looks like a pencil.

As I recall, he gave everyone the grade he "thought they would get" - roughly, the grade they normally got - which was not a satisfactory solution for people who had studied harder than normal for that test! The class was fairly evenly split between happy campers and not-so-happy campers... yeah, really not entirely fair... oh, Mr. Schooler...

  6. Wait... Ellene, you recommended an R-rated movie directed by Martin Scorsese?

    ...I'm so surprised!
